Gauri is an Indian textile and embroidery designer based in Milan, whose practice bridges traditional craftsmanship and material experimentation. For over a decade, she has collaborated with artisans across India to design and develop embroideries for ready-to-wear and couture collections, working with fashion houses including Dior and Valentino.

Alongside her work in embroidery, Gauri has collaborated with textile manufacturers in Italy's Como district to develop prints and jacquards for leading ready-to-wear and couture brands. Her practice is rooted in a deep appreciation for craft while embracing innovation across materials and techniques.

Alongside her professional collaborations, Gauri maintains an independent artistic practice in which textiles become a lens through which to explore cultural traditions, their points of convergence and divergence. In this body of work, textiles serve as a medium for investigating themes of transience, transformtion, and the enduring search for beauty.

Educated across Italy, Denmark, India, and Japan, she investigates how textile processes can act as carriers of cultural knowledge, personal histories, and collective memory.
